Communications Officer

Gertrude’s Children’s Hospital is seeking a creative, passionate, and results-oriented professional to join its Foundation Team as a Communications Officer. The successful candidate will play a key role in capturing and communicating the impact of the hospital’s programs through compelling storytelling, donor communications, and multimedia content that inspires engagement and support.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in communications, impact reporting, or fundraising communications, preferably within a non-profit, NGO, or healthcare setting.
  • Strong storytelling, content creation, and donor communication skills.
  • Proficiency in graphic design and multimedia tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar platforms.
  • Experience in photography, videography, and social media management.
  • Strong analytical, creative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of ethical storytelling, safeguarding, and beneficiary confidentiality.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing impact reports, donor communications, graphic design, and video production will be an added advantage.
