Job Description

Family Media is committed to creating and publishing compelling content across all media platforms that inspires and encourages our audience to develop a meaningful relationship with Christ and grow in their daily walk with Jesus. We are seeking a creative, passionate, and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit and assemble raw footage into high-quality video content for television and digital platforms.
  • Work closely with the production team to understand project requirements and creative direction.
  • Trim footage and arrange sequences to produce engaging and compelling stories.
  • Incorporate music, dialogue, graphics, captions, transitions, and visual effects where appropriate.
  • Produce rough cuts for review and implement revisions to deliver final edits.
  • Organize and archive video content to ensure easy retrieval and proper storage.
  • Maintain consistency with the Family Media brand and production standards.
  • Keep up to date with current editing techniques and industry trends to enhance content quality.

Requirements

  • A diploma, or degree in Film Production, Video Editing, Media Studies, or a related field.
  • Have at least 2 years’ experience in video editing
  • Practical experience using Final Cut Pro for video editing is a must
  • A good understanding of video editing techniques, storytelling, and pacing.
  • Creative mind and storytelling skills
  • Ability to work within deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
